Questions about Optimum Training?
About our personal training
No, unfortunately that’s not possible.
Optimum Training is a private gym specialised in personal training in Vienna and only our Stay on Track clients can use our studio without a trainer.
Yes.
The focus of our personal training is always a healthy lifestyle in a healthy body. We want you to feel good in your own skin, which entails a healthy weight.
If your goal is to lose 20 lbs in 4 weeks, we’re not the right gym for you. If, however, your goal is to strengthen your body and lose some weight in a healthy, sustainable way, we’d love to help you.
Yes and no.
If you’re looking to run your first marathon and want to get in shape for it in a healthy, sustainable way, we’re happy to help.
If you’re a professional athlete who wants to get a better time, we’re not a good fit – but if you need a recommendation, we can refer you to the right people for that.
Yes, of course.
All our trainers speak English, so we’re happy to offer personal training in Vienna for English-speakers.
Physical therapy and personal training have two different goals: The goal of physical therapy is that you can manage your daily life again (often after an injury).
Personal training usually starts after that and goes one step further: Personal training is for you if you want more from your life – a strong body that allows you to live life to the fullest.
Whether that’s possible or not depends entirely on your individual problem.
In many, many cases, focused training can help alleviate pains or even make them go away completely, so you can go through life without or with very little pain again.
It’s important to remember, though, that the human body is a very complex system. There are many cases where medical treatment is necessary – if that’s the case for you, we can’t work with you unless your doctor specifically allows it.
We’d be happy to discuss the details with your doctors and physical therapists and develop a training plan that helps to strengthen your body.
Yes.
If you can’t use certain body parts after an injury, we’ll work out other ways to bring you closer to your goals following your doctor’s and physical therapist’s recommendations.
For example: if you have a shoulder injury, cardio training is usually not a problem and certain leg exercises might be fine as well.
We’ll evaluate if and what exactly you can do after an injury on a case-by-case basis and following your doctor’s and physical therapist’s orders.
No.
If you’re in Vienna just for a few days, you can schedule a personal training session to work out, but unfortunately you can’t use our gym without a trainer.
The great thing about Optimum Training is that we work as a team.
If your trainer isn’t available for whatever reason, somebody else will cover for them. Since we work together very closely, your training won’t suffer from a different trainer.
This allows for flexible scheduling and ensures you can follow your training schedule even if your favourite trainer is out sick or on vacation.
And while we all have our area of expertise, every trainer in our team is qualified to work in every area.
Each session lasts between 30–55 minutes.
The length of each session is determined individually and depends on your situation. There are various reasons why a shorter session might make more sense sometimes.
But don’t worry: we make sure to find the ideal solution for you to help you reach your individual goals as fast as possible.
About our Stay on Track program
If you’re in the Stay on Track program, you’ll have a personal training session every 4 weeks. In that session, we’ll look at your progress and your goals for the next phase, and we’ll discuss the next steps in detail.
Your current training plan is always available in the app.
Our Stay on Track clients can use our gym and all the equipment in 1080 Vienna during our opening hours.
In addition, you’ll have a personal training session every 4 weeks during which you get answers to any questions you might have, set new goals for the next 4 weeks and discuss what’s ahead of you.
And if you need any help between those regular sessions you can get in touch with your trainer anytime via the app.
All our Stay on Track clients can sign up for our semi-private group sessions and meet like-minded people to do their individual workout.
That’s great for all those among you who prefer to work out in company – but also for those who might have a question about a specific exercise. One of our trainers is always present at these group sessions to help you as needed.
Here are the times for your group sessions.
About the studio
No.
We made the conscious decision to not play music in our gym, because we want to make sure you’re focused on your exercises 100%.
Also, have you ever tried to find music that everybody likes?
Yes.
We have changing rooms and showers for men and women. You’ll also find lockers in there so you can store your stuff while you’re working out.
But please keep in mind that you can only use the lockers while you’re here – always make sure to take all your things with you when you’re done.
About the formalities
No.
When you’re starting out with us, we invoice you based on a session package or a fixed personal training period of 3 or 6 months – the choice of which depends on your individual needs and goals.
Once you move on to our Stay on Track program, you can cancel your membership at any time with 30 days’ notice.
For the session packages or fixed personal training periods of 3 or 6 months, you get an invoice, which we can split into installments if needed.
If you decide to move on to our Stay on Track program, the membership is paid via a direct debit mandate. If you’d like to stop working out at Optimum Training, you can cancel your membership at any time with 30 days’ notice.
